China Reentering the United Nations?

What are some pro's and con's of letting china reenter the united nations

trying to write a speech, need to address both sides

Taiwan recently lost its bid to be a member.  The UN said they had no legal standing.

For one, Taiwan isn’t a sovereign state… or even a state for that matter. So no.

China is a major player in the world, whose power and economy  is on the rise. Better they are with you than against you

The pro's of letting Taiwan into the UN:

It is only fair that a country be allowed to join, Taiwan is a sovereign nation in every practical way already.

Taiwan could contribute to maritime issues against p****y in SE Asia

Taiwan would be instrumental to fight crime based out of Asia

Taiwan is alread a member of many international organizations

APEC, AsDB, ICC, ICRM, IFRCS, IOC, ITUC, WCL, WHO (observer), WTO

The Cons:

China will lose its freakin' mind and will economically sanction anyone helping Taiwan become officially recognized, China may even go to war over the issue with Taiwan and their would be ally(s).

The decision then is simple.

Money or morality?

Fear of China or freedom for a democratic country that is already a functioning First world nation?
