China and Africa relations? why is the west so jealous?

i mean are they going to expliot? obvisouly yes, but not the extend the western nations did and are still doing. instead of offering ecnomic development they abused us treating us as non humans stealing the diamonds in congo for nothing in return (belguim etc). so they became rich. what is france doing on the west coast of africa? wat is int USA doing. No to mention the most evil U.K doing across africa. BHP bliton makes billions of £ through the suffering of the africans. and after you watch bbc news saying "£1m pounds is given to africa for aid". wat about the billions british compaines make in profit. I think africa should take another direction, let the westerners leave africa for the african people (black white brown). for all the things that have happened to africa atleast africa can do better with its fellow colourds. the asians inclluding the black ones. when i mature enough we as africans we should organise for a United States of Africa! we are only 930 mill people.

Have looked at the human rights issues in China? If Africa reneges on its agreements they will be much harsher than the Europeans were. I would be very careful about getting in to bed with the Chinese.

As for a United States of Africa. I think it was Muammar Al- Gaddafi that proposed it a short while back with himself as the leader...

Area of the continent of Africa is 11,500,000sq. miles as against Asia's 17,500,000 (almost 1 1/2 times). Contrast this with N.America's area of 9,000,000 sq.miles. It is the strong point of Africa. Her population is 0.93 billion(less than a billion) as against India's 1.1 billion in roughly a ninth of area.

Africa's population is inadequate and not ready to shoulder the task needed for the scorching developmental pace required. That is the reason why many outsiders arrived, made it their home and absorbed as Africans like the Arabs south of 'Sahel' and Dutch 'Boers' in extreme south.

The bane of Africa that frustrates all attempts for African Unity is extreme tribalism which rules out co-existence of two peoples side by side. Africa must learn to do it first. This has to be done on demographic, political and organisational levels. The problem was actually sown by European colonisers who have drawn boundaries very arbitrarily dictated by their own factors ( to be fair to them, you can't expect them to be otherwise!) across tribal lines. Societally Africa exists at 3 levels. the primary one is the village or community belonging to one  tribe speaking the same language. There are incredibly 700 to 1000 languages in Africa. At a higher level is the market place where trade and transactions happen. It is the meeting place of many tribes, others like settlers, Europeans and so on where one of the lingua francas is used like 'Ki Swahili'. Some native languages have attained this 'transactional language' status like 'Hausa'. At the top level is one of those European languages (English, French, Potuguese or Spanish) and Arabic used for administartion, higher learning & assocaited intellectual pursuits. The solution to this is free association of neibhour countries in a free 'federation' where no one group dominates as others as majority will prevent it. An example can be 'East Africa', a federation of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Bururndi. Leaders need to be generous for such an endeavour. But care should be exercised so that contrasting and ethnically quite different people are not brought in. For instance 'Somalia' can not fit into 'East Africa'. There is a big cleavage in Africa. It is the Berber vs Black (Arab vs Bantu) difference. It is the reason why 'Sudan' cannot survive as one nation whereas Nigeria can. Sudanese situation where the ethnic Arabs want to have the whole country for themselves is both 'desparate' & 'disparate'.

Africa has always been viewed for its gold, diamonds and minerals. So it is no wonder when Chinese compete with Westerners jealousely. Millions of black people outside Africa whose forefathers left Africa in a horribly subhuman western enterprise, are prosperous as a Karmic redemption now, of their forefathers' sacrifices. While these men may try to help their ancestral lands stand on their feet and take steps towards prosperity, the natives may not encourage it. This gulf created by history may have to be closed.

I am sure you will be happy working for a chinese master getting R5,00 for a 12 hour working day!!  That would be africa gone wong!!

The West is a greedy area that claims they need the resources but have been evil in the past. The Chinese will also exploit but the West should be evicted from Africa...perhaps later the Chinese too.  At least the Chinese are not Christian thieves.
