China and Thailand prove their endeavour in the 15th Asian Junior Women’s Volleyball Championship
The striking volleyball campaign of Asian Junior Women’s Championship is underway in Vietnam this week. 15 teams from the Asian continent have staged wonderful action since the start of championship on Sunday, 12th September, 2010. The breath-taking
matches welcomed scores of fans from around the world. The Phan Dinh Phung and Tan Binh Gymnasiums in Hochiminh, Vietnam were totally rocked with the record turn-out of people during Championship matches. More matches are scheduled to come and results will
be concluded on 20th September, 2010.
In the recent memory, two memorable bouts were fought by China and Thailand on an extremely fast pace. China met Indonesia in the Tan Binh Gymnasium on Wednesday, 15th September 2010. China’s team was governed by the head coach Xu Jiande who set
a right direction for the team. The team demonstrated a great play and pulled off victory in straight three sets. Likewise, Thailand beat hosts Vietnam in the presence of local fans in Phan Dinh Phung Gymnasium.
China vs. Indonesia 3-0 (25-19, 25-11, and 25-11)
China was already on the good notes of people as they achieved success in their previous matches. Presumably, China was the better team in the squad. They proved their talent and skill-set by opening the first set with perfect serves. The great disposition
and steadiness earned them commanding roles in the game. They successfully got the opponents under their influence. The fresh blood of Indonesian players also enticed them to hit back the Chinese team. The Indonesian players resisted the Chinese movement but
China was a strong contender in the game. They moved too swift to reach the set point. The first set spanned on 20 minutes and finally ended in the goodwill of Chinese team.
The second and third set created a similar feeling. The unfailing spikes of Chinese hitters took their score on the high stake with a rapid speed. Indonesian defence was not sufficient to penetrate the solid thump of Chinese players. They stood helpless
in court and only saw the ball moving through their legs. China became stronger by cashing-out the second set. They posted 25-11 in 17 minutes. The score of second set was repeated in third set as well. Indonesia couldn’t bring any improvement in their game
and collapsed after receiving another 25-11 defeat in third set, while China celebrated the victory.
Thailand vs. Vietnam 3-0 (25-7, 25-10, and 25-17)
In the second match on same day, home-ground team Vietnam was challenged by Thailand. Around 350 spectators were gathered to witness the match. Somehow, the first set was total disaster for Vietnam. Thailand pushed them behind the line by delivering terrific
shots and aces. The host team was barred to score any points. Thailand was in authority and crushed the home-side in just 15 minutes. They posted 25-7 in the first set. The head coach of Indie team Machfud Irsjada made a few changes in the team line and emphasized
the team to strengthen their defence. The Indonesians started the second set with a new resolution. They followed the coach’s instructions and blocked Thai attackers to score points. They attained stability in their act and raised score. Nonetheless, Thailand
jumped back in the game and threw the fire-balls in Vietnam’s half. In the beginning, the set had a different tone but results turned out to be same. Thailand picked up 25-10 win over Vietnam.
The local audience had the cold expression on their faces but they appreciated the pleasant game of visiting team. The volleyball devotees credited the Thai team for their hard-work. Thailand easily managed to dismiss Vietnam in third set and claimed match
victory.
