China as a global force

For my summer "reading" assignment, I'm supposed to find articles on China's emerging from a closed society to a global force. Any help?

Yeah you should watch the Olympic coverage on NBC. That subject is what they mainly talk about. just leave it on till you hear guys talking bout China if you don't want to watch the sports part, it can get pretty long. I learned a lot about China's history by watching. They show short documentaries too. You will learn a lot. Good luck :D
