I am looking forward to the Olympics but I am saddened that (as in the past history) the Olympics still seem to be used for propaganda.

  1. This is just one more way to eliminate outside competition. Their desire is to win the most Gold of any Olympic nation and this will go far in do so.

It is also a self defense move since their lower talented gymnasts are eliminating their competition also, by Denouncing the previous Chinese Gold medalists.

Denouncing is a whole lot easier than competing...

  2. Not a bit, I knew they would look and see who these people are that are looking for a visa. They turned me down by the way to go to china before over my been part of a Darfur charity. It makes me feel better when I hear of a high profile person been told the same in fact. Oh they will say it is not over Darfur of course. Make up some other reason but it is Darfur. I wonder have they in fact stopped people using the yahoo im from china the last two days. Two of my contacts on that have not been on. Wonder if my mentioning of Amnesty international sprung some blocking of my contacts contacting me.

  3. well the olympics have always been propaganda playgrounds, at least the modern games, but its just the way china seems to be working these days, cracking down on their own communists, while still implying to be all mao for their own people

btw the way they have spend some cool millions on wiring up most of the major cities (like those 30million residents living in the largest single city on the planet called Chongqing, yet nobodies heard about) to state of the art computers with all face recognition etc. via cameras and even mics, all with money from the olympic money pot, which they didn't pitch into at all.......

so since im already thinking its all crooked, it can only get worse

  4. China can ban anyone, anything they want to. It's their country, their politics, their Olympics. They may never have another in the future, but for now this is the reality.

  5. I'm glad about this news and I applaud China for it. Protesters should be silenced and have to pay for their troublemaking.

  6. This has been done many times in the past. One good thing to come of all this is the bright light being shined on China and communism. The world is seeing what a terrible government China has and what an utter failure communism/socialism is. Stealing the peoples land, the pollution, the police state, and totalitarianism in general.

  7. the Olympiads are getting more and more political every time...going back to the Hitler era when he thought his Max Shmelling could beat a black american boxer...then over the years when amateurs (haha) were supposed to be the only Olympic athletes..but China seems to be putting a whole new light on these Olympiads and i think it will be a long long time before China gets another shot at hosting the Olympics

  8. WHO DIDN'T SEE THIS COMMING?! Everyone knows China is communist and there is no such thing as free speech for that matter there is no such thing as free. I still don't understand what the Olympic comity was thinking allowing China to host.
