Actually in China there are 26 different ethnic groups of which the dominant one is the Han Chinese, who make up 93% of the population. Also, there are many different religions (Buddhist, Taoist, Catholic, Protestant) that operate within the country, sometimes even with tacit endorsement from the gov't.
