Chinchilla Sleeplessness?

Question

I'm getting a chinchilla in a few weeks, i would get it sooner however i have trouble keeping my room clean and my mom wants it clean for a month before i get one...anyway...at night i cant get to sleep, it it started two weeks ago when my mom said i could get one...what should i do?

it seems your excited. i got a hamster yesterday and coudn't wait to get it.but what i did i would spend my nights researching hamsters till i was so tired i would be dead asleep that night maybe you should do some researching or go over to a friends house to take your mind off of it

Don't keep it in your room, it will keep you up all night. Get it a huge cage, like 5' x  3' and an oversized running wheel, lots of pine boards to perch on and a pine house to sleep in. They chew a lot and can only have untreated white pine wood and shavings. You can keep the cage outside if the temps don't get over 75-80 degrees. They can handle cold weather fine, but will die in heat. Oh, and they're very social, it's cruel to have just one.

Same thing happened to me when i was told i could get a hamster. and the final days heading up to it were very painful to conceal my inner joy.

also i have some natural sleeping pills that tell my body to rest they are very good at putting me to sleep and they taste like tropical fruit.

Try a couple of these tips.

-Read.

-Wear Socks as it increases blood flow to your feet which makes you tired.

-Drink have a cup of water and put a pinch of salt on your tounge as it helps with your nerves to calm them down.

And dream about your chinchilla

Now when you get one you'll be stuck with a nocturnal animal that's gonna keep you up at night also.
