Chinchilla trial?

i really wont a pet chinchilla, but my mum and dad seem to be against it, they both agree thats its extremly cute but they dont know if i'll be able to handle one, so...i was woundering if there was a place where you could look after a chinchilla for the weekend or a week, so i can see if i really am cut out to be a chinchilla owner... so please tell me if you no anywere this takes place

  1. No, there is now certain place were you can just take a chinchilla for a weekend to see if you are cut out to be a chinchilla owner or not. But you could see if a friend, famly member, or neighbor would let you look after one for a few days. And that way if there are any problems you can ask its owners.


  2. No, there isn't.

    And for a good reason.

    Chinchillas take a huge amount of care and attention and can live for up to twenty years. I don't see how a /weekend/ is equal to a life time of care, attention, vet bills, and general neediness.

  3. No i dont think there is because they need a lot of care and their bones are very fragile! I have one and i love him! But you need to prove to your parents you are responsible.

  4. A week end would not even start to show you what you need to know and do to care of a chinchilla,  they need a lot of attention,  are costly to care for (if you set them up correctly) and live for up to 20 years,  no a week end wouldn't do it.
