  1. You are spoilt for choice.  The best food is probably at either Fung Shing or Mr Kong in Lisle Street, but the suggestion already made of Mayflower is also a good one.

Contact details and reviews are on my web site below.

  2. The standard changes with the personnel so a really good place could quickly become mediocre and vice versa. Go to Gerrard Street and follow your nose.

  3. Like the man said - go to the chinese area in Soho and have a wander about, they are  all fairly similar and great quality. Any that start charging too much will soon be out of business.

  4. In Wardour street in Soho the last restaurant on the left coming from Coventry street.  Cheap and very good.

  5. Won keys (sp) if it is still there, and i am sure it is.

Sorry about the spelling, I never look at the name I just go in.

  6. The most famed in (soho) is The mayflower in shaftesbury avenue opposite Dean street, and next to wardour street, although frequented by celebrities, this is a very cheap cuisine restaurant and take-away.

Or if you prefer, go to gerrard street, a.k.a.( china town )

It's off the south side of wardour street, identified by ornamental gates at each end , all these chop shops including the mayflower are vying for your custom, so the prices are very competitive,  Bon appetite.

    PS:

If you ever find  your self quite flush for money, go to  Mr, Chow, in knightsbridge by scotch corner, well worth saving up for.

How do i know this you may ask!   Well i'm a london cabby, and i know every one of them.

PPS: the ones i mentioned are where most of the chinese people from the area eat,  now that's a recommendation on it's own i'd say.

  7. Just go to China town - part of Soho - and take your pick!

  8. The best way to choose a GOOD Chineese Restaurants in Soho is to just have a look through the window and see how many Chineese people are in, if there are plenty - go ahead, if there aren't any - don't even think of going closer that you have been already by looking through the window. It works as there are few restaurants up there they are a real disaster - they just rip u off for rubbish food. I used to go to one restaurant over there but because I haven't been there for quite a while I have forgotten its name.
