  1. I think Korea eats more dogs than China. But they don't eat dog so much in this time and age. Back in the day more so, but not so much now.

  2. Hey there, I am from Hong Kong, though we are part of China, we have different systems and it is illegal to kill, harm or eat dogs, since we were ruled by Britain.

I know that people in mainland China do still eat dogs, it is still legal. You know, in relatively poorer places in China, people keep dogs to safeguard their farmland and houses, they eat their dogs after the dogs have passed away, because meat is very rare and they do not want to waste any. In some rural region in mainland China, people even consume some other animals that westerners never would eat, like insects (I know this is really gross), rabbits and snakes, which you may find unbelievable. However, I believe this is no longer that prevalent, Chinese mainly consume pork, chicken, beef and lamb nowadays, there is no way you can see dog meat in any average Chinese family . This dog-eating thingy has already greatly diminished in China. Chinese do have pet dogs, especially popular in modern cities like Shanghai, Beijing, they love their dogs and spend lots on their dogs. Many young couples in my place even keep pet dogs instead of having babies. :)))))))))))))))

  3. Mostly Korean... and not that often, from what I've heard.

  4. yes..they pet dogs as well
