Chinese Mythology?

I met a woman the other day who was getting a tattoo based on a chinese myth.

She said the woman rode on the back of a crane to meet with her secret lover.

I'm wondering if anybody knows the myth or a place where I can read about it.

The crane is featured in many Chinese mythological stories.  One common theme is ridng cranes, especially in Taoist tales.
