I'm looking for a recipe of that sticky, clear, peach-colored dipping sauce that Chinese and Thai restaurants use. Anyone have something similar? Thanks!

  1. i guess its a blend of ground red chillies, little garlic, little vinegar and lime juice together with some sugar?

  2. 3/4 C sugar

    1/2 C vinegar

    1/4 C pineapple juice

    3 TBSP catsup

    1 tsp soy sauce

    1/2 tsp salt

cook low and stir until sugar melts

  3. Ingredients:

    1 cup orange marmalade

    2 tablespoons orange juice

    2 tablespoons lemon juice

    1 teaspoon dry mustard

    2 teaspoons horseradish

1 small piece finely chopped ginger

    OR

    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

    Instructions:

Blend orange marmalade, orange juice, and lemon juice in blender or food processor or beat vigorsouly by hand. Add dry mustard, horseradish and ginger. Blend and chill.

This is not a hot dip but has a kick to it. Make well ahead so more "kick" can be added if desired. Keeps forever refrigerated.
