Chinese buffet restaurants?

What are your opinions on the growing trend

Chinese food should be cooked and eatem immediately - not something that should hang around on a buffet.

they are OK but timing is everything

if you get there too late a crust appears on everything caused by the heat lamps keeping stuff warm - quality varies tremendously even at the same restaurant

They are great.  I go there once a week.  I don't care for the days where the place is pack.   The seafood is always gone once it comes out.

Great for going out with chums from office etc.

All buffets are good, you can try a bit of everything then go back for the dish you really like
