Chinese earthquake disaster?

Question

Where can I send food and other things to the people who suffered from the disaster? Basically, what organization is there that I can send non perishable foods and juice boxes and such 2 them? Please answer as soon as possible...

I wish i had a direct answer for you. I would guess you could call the Red Cross or check with your local news.

I think it's so great of you to want to help. It's such a horrible disaster and so many people don't even seem to care.

My guess would be red cross at the very least they can probably point you the correct way.

I think you would be better advised to donate cash to the International Red Cross/Red feather/Red shield campaign, as they know what is needed, and where, and will spend your money where it will do the most good for all in need.

That is very nice of you, but shouldn't we take care of our own first?  They have a lot of money and most of the stuff we buy here is made in China so I think they can handle it themselves.  That said, its your money you can do with it what you want.

Youre best off donating money. That way they get exactly what they need.

Apparently not. There is a huge disparity in wealth in China. A lot of those affected are quite poor. Just because the economy is growing in China does not mean its people are benefiting from it. The people with the money are far to greedy to give any of it away, not even to help their own countrymen.
