It is fried shrimp, and comes with a sweet, thick yellowish-white sauce.

The sauce kinda tastes like pineapple.

I'm trying to order the dish from a restaurant but idk what the name of it is?

  1. honey walnut shrimp? that has thick yellowish-white sauce.

  2. In Cantonese we call it Deep fried Big Shrimps in salad sauce. The yellowish-white sauce is mayo+mustard+sugar + a tiny bit of lemon juice or pineapple juice.  Some restaurants sprinkle roasted sesame seeds as garnish too.

The big shrimps are coated with egg white and cornstarch + a bit of sea salt / white pepper / rice wine, then deep fried till crispy and golden and toss with the mayo mustard sauce and serve.

  3. I have to agree with Ej, it sounds like sweet and sour shrimp...

  4. sounds like a version of lemon chicken but w/prawns.

  5. A very poor version of sweet & Sour prawns perhaps. A good sweet & sour sauce does not have a strong pineapple taste and the colour is more likely reddish

  6. sweet and sour prawns?
