  1. It was a long time ago.  I understand the pain the older Chinese feel, but with the younger ones, they should let it go.  After all, I see them with their Sony phones, Honda cars, using Samsung cameras and eating at Japanese sushi restaurants, while shopping at JUSCO and buying Kao and other Japanese products.

  2. this dude(op) is totally lost!~

why do you wanna stir up a fight??

    stand up for!~ come on!

  3. if i say that i didn't feel anything, then i'm lying. i'm korean-chinese, and at the time of the japanese occupation, my maternal (chinese) and paternal (korean) grandparents were in singapore. i lost an uncle and an auntie to the japanese, and my materal and paternal  grandfather was totured into insanity for information. my maternal grandmother had to wash clothes for the japanese, day and night.

i was watching the live broadcast. as i heard the japanese anthem playing, i didn't feel any strong hatred for them, except a slight discomfort stirring somewhere in my heart.

  4. how do the Japanese feel when they have to stand up for the Chinese Nation Anthem 40+ times

    U should ask them

    They are more experienced

  5. No problem, we just do what people from other countries do. I think the Japanese have more opportunities to stand up for our national anthem. Thank you!

  6. Olympic is sports and sportsmanship, and not hatred.

Granted, the japanese invaded China back in WWII. However, olympic is all about sports and great spirit. Besides, China has more medals anyway.

  7. no,although we cant forget the history,we dont need to feel exactly.

we support Olympic and remember what olympic spirit is.just as f10 said, how the Japanese think what they have to stand up for the Chinese Nation Anthem 40+ times.maybe more, because china always

win more gold medal than Japan.

  8. Stood up? what do u mean? but to be honest, most Chinese people dont like Japanese, for the history reason, Japanese government even dont have the real courage to admit what they did and how they ever hurt Chinese people. yeah, history is history, but we cant forget it, especially when the bad people refuse admitting they are wrong. People would think it's deceptive when they show friendly.

  9. One of the important thing in Olympic since the Greek era, no matter what war or conflict, during Olympic they must be stopped. We have to remember the spirit of the game. One World One Dream, One Heart. Sport is sport, don't let the history destroy it.

  10. nothing

  11. I don't know if you noticed, but during the opening ceremony, all the Japanese athletes held flags of both Japan and China.  Not that they are advocating to forget the past, but a show of unity for the future.  Chinese and Japanese are well aware of the past (just as the some Japanese are still uncomfortable with what happened in HIroshima and Nagasaki), horrible things happened then, it is this generation that must make sure it does not happen again.

  12. huh???  I didn't need to stand up while I was watching TV...!!!!  But even if I was there, I would just stand up and be respectful.  The winners did good job, it is all about sports, not hatred.
