  1. i dont know nothing about this and apparently neither do you. i can tell you this hawever: i think youd serve yuorself best gettin something that you dont know what it means. that wayt when someone askks you what it means you can smile sheepishly and say "well, i dont really know"

  2. go here to see what Chinese writing looks like.  http://chineseculture.about.com/od/chine...

  3. Firstly both the Chinese and Japanese languages have several forms. Japanese can be expressed using Kanji, katakana or hiragana (each has a slightly different set of characters) depending on what you are trying to say.

Chinese people do not all speak the same form of the language, would you want Mandarin, Cantonese, Wu, Fukienese or one of the other variations of the language?

The Korean language also poses some similar problems.

I'm sure native speakers or users of each form of writing would claim that theirs is the most elegant!

I would suggest you think really hard about getting a tattoo in any of these styles.

Here are a couple of the reasons why I would advise against this idea:

1 Kanji - which is one form of Japanese writing is really over done as a tattoo design

2 If you are having to ask this question you clearly do not understand them, do you really want to run the risk of getting a tattoo that doesn't mean what you think it does?

3 What significance do any of these languages have to you?

What I would suggest is have the tattoo in a language you understand, that way you'll know it is what you asked for.  That or have the artist sit down and design something to symbolise what you are trying to say.
