Chinese people - help, please! :)?

(I know this question is not about food - just thought someone on here would know..:) ) My mom gave me these earrings (which I think she bought in SF'S Chinatown). I'm wondering if the little guy is a buddha, or simply a china man? Also wondering what all the symbols mean (they're the same on each side) and what is it in the middle of them?.... If anyone can tell me. :) Thank you so much!! :-D

(P.S. Please be honest - don't be uncool and make something up - It would be too obvious it was made up anyway, lol! :) )

  1. it is buddha. the symbols might mean "happy new year!" if the symbols are red.


  2. Don't know, I don't know chinese....I only know Japenese languag.

  3. It looks like Asian Buddha which is like Santa Claus in Asia I believe. The Buddha that started the religion is thin.

  4. To say ttruthfully I don't know what Guatama Buddah looks like is that him on the site? otherwise I don't reallly understasnd your question. IF Guatama looks like  the fat man  with crossed legs. I reallly have no idea if that is the actually  a good likeness of him
