Chinese visa for french nationality?

ok so what if:

im french, i am getting a double multiple entry visa to go to China (getting the visa in France). Once this visa runs out, I go to Hong Kong, (no visa required from french nationality) and there, can I get another double entry visa to China ? Or do I have to go back to my home country (France) ?

China only issue single entry VISA for maximum 30 days stay at present because of safety and security for Olympic. Do check with China Embassy in France before your trip. China VISA application must be obtained in France; no re-entry after Hong Kong trip.
