Question:

Chinese vs. Spanish?

I am going to be starting High School on Monsay and was wondering if I should take Chinese I or Honors Spanish II, I've never taken Spanish I before but since I'm in the IB program if I took Spanish I would have to take Honors Spanish II so it's not like Spanish would be easier than Chinese. Also, I hope to major in Journailism someday if that influences your choice.

Thnx

  1. Take Spanish you will soo....... need it way more that Chinese. Most of the united states speak spanish! Totally spanish!

  2. Spanish easier

  3. spanish might be a bit easier since they use the alphabet and it's similar to english.

chinese on the other hand is very complicated because each word has a different symbol and different strokes on how to write them.

  4. In addition to the excellent reasons above you should consider that even though the study of Chinese is becoming more important you will use Spanish much more frequently in the US into the foreseeable future./

  5. Take spanish =]

  6. Well, Chinese is the most spoken language in the world currently, but assuming that you live in the U.S. and you would like to major in journalism I would take Spanish.  Reason being that Spanish would be much more useful in the United States.  However if you plan on going to China in the future or decide to work there then of course I would advise you to take Chinese.  Your best bet is Spanish if you're living the U.S. no matter what.
