Chip in my ski???

I went skiing today and I noticed a chip about 2cm long and 2-3mm deep right behind the tip of my ski? I didn't run into anything so I don't even know how this happened. Should I super glue it or something like that? Is this bad? Are my skis ruined? It is not in the bottom but the top.
