  1. you can have a chipmunk? is that legal

  2. my friend owns a chinchillah-

    JORJUS ANIMALS!

  3. ooh thats a toughy

well i have a chinchilla and they need a large sized cage too. Idk about chipmunks, but a chinchilla is alot. They get into everything and chew on whatever they can, which just supply them with plenty of chewing things. But they are just so adorable, fun, and interesting. And when they take heir lil' dust naths it is just too funny!

  4. I don't think you can own a chipmunk... They are spastic... like a small squirrel... Chinchillas are cool, they are like the softest animal in the world... and they are very neat in general... and you could hold them.  Check out this link:

  5. hey,

I happen to have both!!!!!! My mom found my chipmunk a few years ago when my outdoor cat tried to eat him! my mom saved him and now he's an indoor pet! but he's a handful!!!!!! i wouldn't recomend getting one because its hard to find the right foods to feed him and its hard to tame them!!!!

to this day my chipmunk (Named Chewie) will try to bite me when i put my hand in his cage to feed him!!!!

My chinchillas!!!! ( i have 7) they are great pets and i would definetly pick a chin over a chipmunk!!!! chin's are also hard to take care of but they are easier than taking care of a chipmunk!!!! the only thing about chin's is that you CAN'T GET THEM WET!@!@!@!@@@@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they have to take dust bathes and eat a special mixture of food!!! they also need a big cage!!!!!

the food and dust can be bought at any pet store but you might have to ask someone there about it!!!!!! they also LOVE raisins, grapes, stale bread, and loads of other foods!!!!!! but some will be a bit more pickier than others when it comes to what they eat!!!!!!

    HOPE this helps!!!!

  6. Chipmunk.

I have 2 and they are fabulous animals. They are so entertaining. It can be hard to hand tame them, but we used to breed them so exposing the babies to humans when they are small helps. They pretty much do their own thing, we let them have a run around the lounge once a week, there is Chipmunk food available from Pets at Home (please dont give them hamster food - they are not hamsters so it doesn't contain the nutrients they need).

If you are going to get one, try and find a breeder and not a pet store, make sure you get a couple as they like to play, but there must be 2 females to 1 male ratio to stop fighting when in season. 2 females will live happily together if you do not want them breeding.

Males and females will also interbreed if left together (son and mother, father and daughter) and genetic defects can occur. If you get 2 females and a male be prepared for lots of babies (around 4 or 5 per litter per female) - think about what you would do with the babies, who would you give them to/sell??

We have a cage that is about 6ft6in so they have plenty of room to play. Sawdust is good at absorbing their faeces and urine plus they like chucking it out of the cage!

If you want anymore advice/help mail me!

  7. chipmunks are like little squirrels with stripy tails. chinchillas are like big white squirrels. There was this boy in my primary school who had a chinchilla and he never shut up about it. he brought in pictures and everythin. it was so annoying!

  8. get what u want but i think u shouldnt get a chinchilla cuz they r kind of hard to take care of they need a lot of care n a chimpmunk i dint no u can have them n chinchillas need a big cage
