Ok i dont mean to offend anyone at all, i have a small problem with the way you act, jesus told everyone to love everyone and forgiving to everyone no matter what right? then why do you spend your time all saying what you should doing and hating things rather than concentrating on the things you should do and love? i heard all these things on tv saying we hate homos and i was never a monkey all said with anger, should you be concentrating on love and happiness rather than hate? also why do catholics bow down to statues of marie and worship her when that break 2 of the 10 commandments?

  1. This is an issue that has confused many people. On one hand, we are commanded by the Lord Jesus, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged” (Matthew 7:1). On the other hand, the Bible also exhorts us to beware of evildoers and false prophets and to avoid those who practice all kinds of evil. How are we to discern who these people are if we do not make some kind of judgment about them?

Christians are often accused of "judging" whenever they speak out against a sinful activity. However, that is not the meaning of the Scripture verses that state, "Do not judge." There is a righteous kind of judgment we are supposed to exercise—with careful discernment (John 7:24). When Jesus told us not to judge (Matthew 7:1), He was telling us not to judge hypocritically. Matthew 7:2-5 declares, "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." What Jesus was condemning here was hypocritical, self-righteous judgments of others.

In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for his sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is his Christian duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with his sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope—and with the ultimate goal—of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20) and restoration to the fellowship. We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction." We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences—the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

  2. I'm not going to answer your question but just to let you know I am a Catholic and I do not do any of the above things that you said or believe in them.  Do not throw everyone under the bus.

  3. Sadly, many christians(even the real ones, but especially the people who are "raised" christian but don't practice it in their live) tend to get caught up in things and give a "knee-jerk" reaction to things we don't believe.  Instead of giving hateful or angry comments like that, they should give calm, honest arguments against it.

Christians are taught to "Hate the Sin, not the Sinner." While we speak against beliefs like evolution and homosexuality, we should not be hateful towards people who practice those things.  Just as we use free will to practice Christianity, others use their free will to practice other things. It is our job to bring those people to Christ, and we won't do that by spouting of hateful words, that will just build a wall between us.

The whole catholic thing I don't know too much about, I'm baptist myself.

  4. Jesus, tells us to hate sin and not the sinner, But when we tell some one they are sinning non believers say it's wrong. We are told we are hateful and homophobic etc. The only thing I can say is I would rather be right with the God of heaven rather then in the eyes of men.

  5. You asked you're question about me so I will only answer for myself.  I have never said I hate anyone - well, not since I was a little kid and used to tell my siblings that we would fight.  I've never said in anger that I was never a monkey - though it's true that I never was one.  I do concentrate on love instead of hate and I don't have to concentrate on happiness because I AM happy being a Christian.  And I can't answer your question about why Catholics bow to statues because I'm not Catholic.

I've answered your questions about me and I have one to ask you.  Why would you conclude that because you heard someone on tv say they "hate homos" that I must feel that way because I am a Christian?

I'm really sorry that anyone who would identify themselves as a Christian would say they hate others but please understand that not all Christians would say or even think those things.

  6. Yeh, even I have a problem with how we act.  That's because, like Peter, while he looked steadfast upon Christ, he walked on the water, but when he took his eyes off Jesus and started looking at the water he was walking, he started sinking.

Similarly, when we don't allow the Spirit of God to direct or thoughts, words and actions, they will come out wrong, ungodly, unchristlike, etc.  But God said we can be forgiven and then start over again, but it should not be a practice for us.

So I would encourage you to accept what Christian a christian preaches, but live your life based on whate the Bible teaches. You'll be safer that way.

  7. Oooohhhh...dude...you were doing so well until you got to the Catholic-bashing!!

  8. I am a Christian, and I agree with you, I am embarrassed that the world has this concept of us, your not bashing, your just writing what we present and what you see, These are Christians who don't have Jesus, they are so into thou shall not, thou shall do...etc, instead of the love of Christ. It would be hypercritical for me to deny all this, and I think Christians should stop covering up and shape up! WHERE IS THE JESUS IN CHRISTIAN?

  9. Your problem is that your question and your inferences are all based on hearsay and not fact.

Jesus said "I come not to bring peace, but a sword."

He called the Pharisees (religions leaders of his day) "vipers."

And in the temple, Jesus overturned the tables of the money changers.

And as far as "love," God's "love" in the Bible is translated form the Greek "agape," while your definition of love comes from "eros," which never appears in the Bible.

To make this very short, you haven't a clue about how ignorant your question is!

  10. I know this is going to sound really mean, but it isn't meant to be:

I think you should spend less time worrying about passing judgements on other people, and maybe a little more time thinking about how YOU can improve as a person.. I'm sure you aren't perfect

  11. Isn't it amazing how YOU PEOPLE think you know so much yet show you know so little?

You didn't offend me, just gave me a great reason to explode with a loud guffaw.

Maybe YOU should be worrying about that railroad tie in your eye instead of worrying about the sliver in others'.

And using the term 'homo' is a homophobic, hateful term.  So I see where YOU'RE coming from.  Busted.  Must really suck being you.

And it's MARY, not MARIE, and CHRISTIANS not CHIRSTIANS.

  12. Nothing in scripture says that we can't be angry.  We have every right to be angry with sin and we have responsibility to tell others what the word of G-d says about there sin.  We don't hate homosexuals but we do hate homosexuality.  Its a sin that will condemn them to eternal h**l.  If you truly care about your g*y friends you will tell them the truth about where G-d says they will spend eternity if they do turn from there sin and accept Yeshua (Jesus) as Lord and Savior.

  13. Christianity wants to dominate all other relgions.

Sadly i dont care about religion.

  14. absolutely we are commanded to love!  we are also commanded to go into all the world and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.  people who hate God hate to hear the truth and they make up lies about what Christians say and do as to discredited us.   But then again, non Christians can do whatever they want - they don't believe to Christ and so they are not obligated to follow His rules!  So why, if you don't believe in our Savior would you care about what commandments we are breaking?  Do you believe in the 10 commandments?  Which btw we are no longer under the Law of the commandments - we are under grace every since Jesus died for our sins and rose again the third day just as He said He would.

I'm sorry, truly for any Christian who has offended you.

  15. you have been connected to the wrong type of Christian love.............don't rely on man to convince you........that's GODS department

  16. I agree with the first answer.  You would have had everyone behind you if you'd just not finished it off with the Catholic comment.

  17. People are people.

    Mark 12

30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'[f] 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[g]There is no commandment greater than these."
