Sylhet Royals made it two wins in two games and on both occasions it was Sohail Tanvir and Kamran Akmal that inspired the Royals to victory. The 26th match of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 Premier League (BPL) played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, the Royals
defeated Chittagong Kings by 35 runs.
Kings skipper, Mahmudullah, won the toss and elected to field first. Former http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Peter-Trego-c2181 accompanied him. The Royals vanguards did exactly what was expected of them laying a solid foundation
for the batsmen to follow.
The new ball bowlers of the Kings, Arafat Sunny and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJ-Bravo-c1379, were helpless against the onslaught from Akmal and Trego. The two batsmen made optimum use of the fielding restrictions during the power play and scored 66 runs without losing any wicket from
the six mandatory overs of the power play.
The two openers continued to bat in the same vein even though the fielding restrictions were lifted. Akmal in particular was ruthless in his approach and got to his fifth half-century of the tournament off just 30 deliveries. The West Indian cricketer, Bravo,
eventually brought an end to Akmal’s (53) innings in the 11th over.
