“Chizzy” enters the world top-16, hard work does payoff!
Dave Chisnall has made his way into the world top-16. The 2012 PDC Best Newcomer had an amazing start to the year with breath taking performances on and off the year.
His major breakthrough that broke him into the top-16 was his play at the German Darts Championship. The way “Chizzy” made his way to the final was worth watching.
The German Darts Championship had a finale that gave chills down the spine of thousands of fans all over the globe.
The European mega event in Berlin witnessed the mighty Phil Taylor facing Dave Chisnall in the final. “The Power” came out as a straight forward winner but “Chizzy” gave him a pretty tough time throughout the epic battle.
This performance at the German Darts Championship put him among the world’s best darts men.
Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis are still the top-2 players in the world and continue their darts supremacy.
“The Jackpot”, however, has landed in a slightly different situation. His rank is in danger because of his consistent poor form throughout the year of 2012.
First, it was the McCoy’s Premier League, then, the UK Open and finally at the German Darts Championship, Lewis fell apart miserably.
“The Jackpot” has been furious recently with his twitter page getting plenty of criticism relating with his performance this year. The world number 2 seemed aggressive with his words as he wrote on his twitter page.
“I thought, ‘Am I that bad?’ I feel like the Joey Barton of darts. And why do people support the foreign players? It’s like me wanting Spain to win the Euros - what a joke. It’s true – me and (Phil) Taylor laugh about it along with all the other UK players.
I don’t understand it – they should support their own country,” said Lewis on his twitter page.
Taylor, on the other hand, is enjoying his first European Tour victory. His legacy is pacing up and he appears unstoppable.
“Chizzy” has improved tremendously with his precision play and truly deserved to be in the top-16 of the world ranking.
If Chisnall remains consistent with his magic, he may overcome all the odds and will become the best in the world of darts.
