Chloe/Chloё Means...?

could someone explain what meaning a name Chloe/Chloё has for me? does it come from...the Greek myths or something? thanks!

It comes from the greek word for a green shoot.

Chloe was generally the name reserved for a nymph of the field, a child of nature. It has been a favourite with English pastoral poets and no doubt they got it from Ovid whose poetry was full of these dainty, semi-devine creatures.
