Chloe Hosking of HTC-Highroad team again won the final stage of 2011 Tour of Chongming Island in Shanghai East Beach Cup on Friday.
The Australian, Chloe Hosking of the HTC-Highroad team, took a total of 1 hour, 54 minutes and 36 seconds to cover the distance of 79.2 kilometres.
The race leader, Ina Teutenberg, was a runner-up, Monia Baccaille finished third while Ellen Van Dijk came fourth.
Previously, in 2010 Chloe Hosking won the third stage of Tour of Qatar and the Australian National Criterium Championships. She also won the first stage of Merco Cycling Classic race.
After winning the stage Hosking said, "The whole team was still at the front of the race with 800 metres to go. We worked so hard yesterday and for the team to put everything into me is something special."
This race is difficult for the all riders because there are three hard sprints in the race. Teutenberg won the first sprint ahead of the Italian rider Monia Baccaille of the MCipollini-Giambenini team was in second place.
The Switzerland's rider Emma Johansson who suffered a food poisoning was in third spot.
In the second sprint Sara Mustonen of the Hitec Product-UCK team took a lead ahead of Italian rider Gaida Borgato. Emma Johansson maintained his lead and again grabbed third place. But Monia Baccaille won the final sprint ahead of Marta Tagliaferro.
However, the second stage winner Ina Teutenberg remains his overall lead with timing of 6 hours, 44 minute and 24 seconds.
Annemiek Van Vleuten of the Nederland Bloeit team was in second spot with 26 seconds behind Teutenberg. Monia Baccaille was in third place with the difference of 27 seconds.
HTC-Highroad team worked really hard to get this win. Teutenberg said, “Every day they did everything to keep me safe, particularly yesterday in the cross winds, so it's nice that we were able to pull it off and it was nice for Chloe to win today. She's
so fast around the corners, that just leaving a little gap makes it really hard to get her back."
The fifth round of the UCI Road World Cup will start this Sunday.
