Chlorine in a kiddie pool?

My brother-in-law has one of the little plastic kiddie pools and he puts pool chlorine in it for my 2 year old nephew. Is this safe!?!?!

  1. im not sure but i wouldnt do it, seems a little risky especially since little kids tend to swallow the water anyways

    i would save the chlorine for the giant pools where millions of people come without showering


  2. well kinda,as long as it not a whole bunch of it...but i take it there is no filter on it so thats the down side to it...

  3. When it's a public pool you can't control that. When it's your kid's pool it just doesn't make sense to add chlorine. Like one of the other's said, why not just dump the kiddie pool?

  4. I don't think it is safe.

    And I don't see much point in putting chlorine in a baby pool when you can just dump it out and fill it with fresh water... And the only people that will be swimming in it will probably be your nephew.

  5. Depends on how much chlorine he is putting in the pool. If you are talking about one of those tiny little inflatable pools it would only take about 3 tablespoons of regular bleach to get chlorine at a proper level. Any more than that and the levels could begin to get dangerous.
