Chlorine tablets and pool question?

so i have to put the chlorine tablet inside of the filter pump?and if i put it can i get in the pool or do i have to wait a couple of hours?

Do not put the puck in your pump! These tablets (whether dichlor or trichlor) are highly acidic. You should use a floater, chlorine feeder, or if you do not have a heater you can put them in the skimmer. Your best bet is a feeder.

Trichlor tablets are designed to go in a floater not in the pump.  You need to immediately remove the tablet from the pump basket or it will destroy your pump.
