Chloroform IS IT THAT EASY TO MAKE?

Is it as easy as I heard it is to make....1 part bleach 1 PART PURE GRAIN OR ISPROLY ALCOHOL? Then get it to simmer close to boil and shut off?JUst curious.

A lot of chemicals are really easy to make ...

You'll probably end up killing yourself if you just boil up chloroform in an open pan though.

And if you get cancer from playing about with haloalkanes, don't go crying to your doctor!

It's called the haloform reaction, where bleach reacts with ethanol. It's not recommended, though. Chloroform has been known to cause sudden deaths due to its toxicity.
