  1. as far as the marbling,  I know you can create striped piping by filling a bag half with one color and half with another (side by side instead of stacked)  I think they sell specialty bags like that somewhere.

For the roses, have you considered plastic chocolate.  If you don't know, think of it as tootsie roll.  You can make it from scratch or just buy tootsie rolls, soften them a little and play with them like you do play doh or modeling clay.

It dries firm enough when left loosely wrapped in proper conditions.

1 lb chocolate melted.  mIx in 1/4 cup karo (light corn) syrup.  Mix thoroughly with a spatula, scraping around and bottom.  spread on plastic lined pan.  cover and let cool/ harden.

I think the measurements are correct- I'm doing this from memory.

I've used a mechanical sheeter for large amounts, but also a regular rolling pin for small amounts, after nuking in the microwave for 5-6 seconds.

  2. Just get all your icing together in different containers and put on your first base layer and then the other colors make sure they are a little thinner in consistency and just try using a spoon to put the pattern on you want and spread it around like you want.

  3. Divide your batter in half, and add some chocolate syrup, or melted chocolate squares to half of it.  Put it into the pan in large spoonfuls, of each next to each other.  Then, take a butter knife and cut down through the entire batter and move the knife in a swirling effect....
