Choice between a mazda rx8 - dodge neon SRT-4 - or Audi TT

Question

I've been cheking out cars for the past month and i will get one this coming december. However the 3 cars I'm interested on are the Mazda Rx8 wit a 1.3L engine or a Dodge Neon SRT-4 wit a 2.4L engine and last choice is an Audi TT wit a 1.8L engine. I'm interested in all but unfortunately i can only get one LOL. i need some advice. thanks

you really didn't say what your primary goal in the car was but seeing "performance" minded seems to be the response... go audi !

either turbo cars (neon or audi) can be built up at at leisurely pace. ie, do a software upgrade, then turbo, then manifolds, then, then... (hope you have deep pockets) both the dodge and audi aftermarkets are STRONG and either car is capable of 400WHP !  (fun)  audi gets the nod purely on asthestics. dood, you gotta slow down sometime... 8-) and my bet is the audi sterio kicks the neons anyway.

I'm a long time rotary guy and only fear driving an rx8 cause I'll want one, but it's fugly... and belongs on the autoaux.

Well to me A Mazda Rx8 is a waste of car.

Slow,heavy and ugly., I used to smoke'em with my 90' integra with LsV.

The Audi TT is another one i dont like, also slow!!!!! lol

even tho an SRT-4 is just another Neon to me, I would pick it over the other 2. It comes witha pretty quick motor and with lil upgrades it becomes a street beast, preying on Sti's and Evo's. and not to mention there very inexpensive.

Now if u get a deal on a SRT-4 ARC edition jump on it.

While I'm an import fan, I have to agree with the last guy. The SRT-4 is the one. While I'm not a fan of Dodge, it is the best choice of the three. Also, Dodge underrated the horsepower on this car for some reason. they are actually more powerful than Dodge claims. The 2003s were rated at 215 hp but different car mags were getting like 220-225 whp on their dynos- meaning the actual horsepower is a lot higher.

I know what you mean i just bought a 2005 Neon SRT 4 and i had a chance to buy an RX-8 but once i test drove it i wasn't impressed. the SRT 4 killed it. check out my myspace and look at pics of my SRT 4 myspace.com/cristiansand  Go with the DODGE!

I would narrow it to the RX8 and SRT 4. I don't like the Audi. The RX8 is a true sports car and delivers great performance and can last a long time. But you have to know how to take care of rotary engines otherwise say goodbye to it. The SRT4 is also a great performer. Some folks don't realize how quick they are. But I have seen them in action, and man they can really haul!

If these are all manual cars, the RX-8 is fastest.

If the RX-8 was an automatic, the SRT-4 would be faster.

The RX-8 is RWD which means it is slippery in rain and impossible to drive in snow.

The Audi TT is best in snow, if you get the AWD version. It also looks better than the SRT-4.

So I would get the Audi. It also has the best interior and gas mileage.
