Choked as I bought S series Sony Bravia thinking i was 1080 dpi?

I now realize after closer examination that its not. Its only a 720. I THOUGHT I was getting a good deal at cosco as I paid 1,100 for i t. I have a c**p TV and will be returning it. The S series are garbage. I have the KDL-40SL130. More like I will be waiting until something better comes along down there.

Remember, nothing is or will be broadcast in 1080p, so unless you have HD DVD or Blu-Ray it's not really an issue.  You'd only get 720p anyway or perhaps a little 1080i.

Yeah, you gotta make sure that it is 1080. They're starting to make 1080 in smaller sizes but typically they're on TVs greater than 40 inches.
