Chonga let her babies die, why?

she had 11 babies. one died and she ate it. then she ate another. i thought that was normal. til i came home from church and they were all laying around the cage dead. why??

My cat let her babies die.  She didn't l**k them to get the sac off of them.  Then she had to have a C-section to get the last baby out.  When she woke up from anesthesia, she wouldn't let it nurse.  We had to bottle feed the little one.  That night, she took it from its box and left it on the cold bathroom floor and it died.  My vet said that some animals just don't have a maternal instinct.
