no air bags and speed 80 km/h and possible accident reason slippery weather and accident to ditch, maybe after bouncing against street lights and a couple of cars ;)

volvo.  they're designed better to cope with impact.  my dad has a volvo, and while i feel very safe inside it, i pity the poor buggers who collide with it!

At 80km/hr which is the same as 50mph, I would be a lot safer in a Volvo.

They are a mean machine when you are in an accident, for the chap which collides with it. If you are in it, the slogan "safety on the move" is reassuring.

Volvos and Saabs have a very high reputation where safety is concerned. They are the MBTs on the road. (Main Battle Tank)

at 80 MPH slippery weather, no air bags, running into ditch, bouncing against things...You're s h i t outta luck. Mini Cooper or Mack Truck. You're screwed. I dunno though. Theres something terribly hot about pulling body parts from the twisted fiberglass of a corvette.

I would not be dumb enough to be driving that fast in bad weather conditions, but if I were to get into something like that, I would like to be in the 1949 Buick that I was in when a 1963 Ford Fairlane totaled itself against the drivers door. It just dented the door, which still opened and worked perfectly.
