  1. First determine the type of riding. Either: Mountain, Road, Paths, or City. Determine your budget and look for a good value.

    I normally suggest the following:

Forge - Order online (very good value!) You will find quality bicycles sold for much less.

    http://www.forgebikes.com

    Giant (bike shop)

    Trek (bike shop)

  2. Go to trekbikes.com/lime/

That is the best choice bike, and I think the website says where you can find a Lime Bike.  So yeah.  I have a lime myself, and I love it!!!

Just to let you know, if a bike store you go to doesn't have a Lime, ask a worker what other bikes are best that they have in stock, and which ones the worker might suggest for you.

I go biking a lot, so I needed the high quality Lime.  I hope you take this advice.

  3. .....is a fun process...get some professional help by visiting several bike shops to find one you're comfortable with.    Try to visit during the week to get the best service.

  4. Go to a bike shop?  A good bike shop?  One that isn't tied to selling only one or two brands?  YES YES YES YES

Only consider a Trek?  NO NO NO NO NO

As you might have read in answers to similar questions, if you buy a bike in a certain price range, you will get similar components.  The economics remain the same across the industry.

Figure out what type of riding you want to do.  Then go to a shop and ask what they have that suits that style and that will FIT you.  In fact, if you just say you want a bike in a certain price range and they don't ask any questions, walk out of that shop or ask to talk to someone else.  A good shop wants to sell you a bike that fits your body and style.  A good shop will even argue you out of a more expensive bike that is wrong for you.

Click the link in the source box.  Those are road bikes, but click out to look at other styles.  Do your homework before you go to a shop (don't buy blindly online with price only).

Pardon the serious tone.  I just want you to get a bike that fits you and your style.

  5. Go to a bicycle shop. Get a Trek
