have decided to cancel my Comcast Cable and go with one of the Dish. In talking with Directtv, I found that you have to sign up for 18 months, but after 12 months your bill will change and go up to 52.00 for the remaining Six months. I choose the 24.99, that's good a good price for me. Didn't like the sound of paying 52.00 for another six months, before I could cancel, so I called Dish network their price was 24.99 for 18 months, . My question is which is better?

  1. Get Directv i got it after i quit cablevision. It was the greatest choice i ever made.

  2. both companys provide the same shows, the hardware and programming packages vary greatly depending on the configueation. I would suggest that instead of calling a 1-800 number, that very well may be a telemarketer, that wont care about you after the sale, you should visit a local, independant retailer who can walk you though the maze of what fits you best. theyre bread and butter depends on making you happy

  3. first off, congrats on quitting cable !

both companies offer great equipment at good prices, and neither have have much of a rate increase in several years. basically your choice should be reflected in package selection.

make sure you get all the channels you want in the package you are looking for, and go with that.

dish network requires a better credit score than directv, but both offer free installation and free equipment (some are after rebate, but its worth the wait) and both have dependable technology and HD
