  1. Out the Front Automatics, what needs to be said? These are absolutely awesome tactical knives! Most are fully automatic in and out, which provides a great solution, when one hand is holding your firearm and the other hand needs a knife in it. You don't have the option of putting down your firearm to close your knife, although you can't put your knife away if it doesn't close in an automated fashion. This is why the Out the front switchblades are priceless! If you are looking for a daily carry knife, that will get a lot of use, then check out the Concords. They will certainly fit your needs, without draining your wallet!http://www.uniqueblade.com/catalog/Out_T...

  2. Benchmade is the best Auto out there today!!!

  3. The only OTF auto I would consider would be a Microtech, but they are very expensive ($300 and up). For standard type auto's, Benchmade, Emerson, and others are very good.

  4. The design of the OTF makes it inherently weaker than a side opener and is not at all necessary for one handed closing

I would look into a good quality side opening knife with the lock back type locking mechanism but most are using the weaker liner locks these days

I'm also a big fan of the double action knives

    check here for good knives
