  1. I would get the Golf because it is what made compact cars popular.

The VW Golf/Rabbit started it all.

  2. They are old hat. Get a pushbike. (With handle bars) And a little bell thats goes.....Ting.a.Ling.

  3. As its a company car the cost for parts is not an issue but Mazda's are unreliable and compared to the Golf very uncomfortable for distance driving,

The Golf also has better - handling, power, fuel economy and also the look - if you can get silver then i you have my ideal car !!

    happy choosing !!

  4. Golf in my opinion , cool car and widely perceived as grt car

  5. Jesus I wish I had such hard decisions to make lol.

  6. People below have gone through the usual list of rubbish about how you should choose a car based on insurance costs, economy, reliability, etc, etc...

I say, since you are buying a company car it will be best to buy an Alfa Romeo.

You only live once and if you have the chance to buy a car when you will not be responsible for it's maintainence then an Alfa Romeo is the way to go.  Every time.

They are great cars but they have a reputation for reliability issues. If you don't have to worry about the reliability then it is the only car to have.  It will be fun when it breaks down as you will get to try other Alfa's... looking at it this way... you are getting better value for money since you will be enjoying more than one car!

  7. golf is better, faster looks better

and you wont get looked at for bein cheap

spec it up with some nice alloys and tinted windows are she will look a dream

    mazda is s***k

vw are much better built plastics ect

have you seen the upcomin mark 6 golf., phaw thats a fit car

  8. The Mazda has a much better repair record.  People who have VWs love them so much they don't notice that they spend far more money on repairs.

  9. There is only one car there the GOLF

  10. Can you test drive them first?

I've driven the Mazda 3 from a rental (non sport though) and it definitely did not compare with  my 20th Edition GTI. Granted, my GTI is in a different category from the rental Mazda 3...

  11. VW, hands down don't compare a German car to a Japanese.

Once you drive it you will understand. I don't care what the reviews or your friends tell you.

  12. Go with the sportier Mazda.

  13. Hi, in common with other contributors, my 2 pence-worth is to go with the Golf - better build quality and virtually bulletproof engines.

Hope this helps to make your mind up!!

  14. both very good strong reliable cars.

a very hard decision to make, can't you have the two?

  15. Personally I'd go with the Mazda.  Golfs are a bit little boring really.
