I have a new Kicker zx2500.1 amp that produces 2500 watts at 2 ohms and 1250 watts at 4 ohms. I was looking at purchasing two 15" L5's or two 15" L7's. I know that ill have enough power for the two L5's however ill be short about 500 watts for the L7's. basically my question is, will the L5's be louder then the L7's due to the L7's not getting all the power they need? Or will the L7's still bump loud with only 2500 watts?

  1. dude im pretty sure u can play two L7's with a 2500W amp. your amp. your amp has a rms of 2500W and two 15s only need 2000W rms.

  2. I just got a 12" Kicker solo-x 4 ohm for my Kicker 2500.1, and dude, it bumps so hard! I just had to buy a new lock for my read window in my ford explorer because the bass messed it up somehow... just make sure you have a new alternator and a few batteries man... i have two batteries with a 300 amp alternator... and get lots of 0 gauge wire ;-)

  3. Both of em a still bump. The two L7's would be 2000 rms and the two L5's a be 1500 rms. So I would get the L7's.

  4. if you get two 15" L7 2 ohm dual voice coil (2DVC) then you will be over powering your subs by 500 watts rms and the subs can take it. you would have to get three L5 subs for them to tak the amount of power that amp will push
