Question:

Chore Charts?

I am looking for a nice and durable chore charts for my kids. It would be great if I could get them with their names on them as well.

The ones I have seen online already have the basic chores made into the chart. I would like to find one that *I* can assign the chores.

Maybe a dry easer one or even a magnetic one would be great.

Does anyone know where I could find one?

Thank you in advance.

Oh my kids are almost 7 and almost 4

  1. This worked well for our family.  I went to Roberts crafts and got a big piece of scrapbook paper. Then I cut out four squares of a coordinating color (because I have 4 kids) and glued them to the big piece. On each square I have a title of a chore...for instance Kitchen 1,  Kitchen 2, living room/family room and bathrooms.  Then under each one I listed the jobs that go along with that room.  Kitchen 1 was things like loading the dishwasher, sweeping the floor wiping the bar.  Kitchen 2 was unloading the dishes and putting them away, vacuuming the rugs and clearing off the table.  Then I laminated the whole thing and put it on my fridge. Each child has a magnet with their name on it. Each Monday morning they rotate their magnet to the next square and do that job until the following Mon morning.

Also with their individual chore charts, (things like making their bed and reading for 15 min) I laminated them and they can mark off each accomplishment with a wet erase marker (the kind of marker you would use on an overhead projector) and then at the end of the week they can wipe it off and start all over again.

    Best of luck to you

  2. For our 10 and 13 year olds we use the dry erase board.  The information can be easily modified and there are boxes for daily achievements for each child.

  3. I recently purchased a chore chart from Office Depot, they are really cute, you fill in the chores and their names. They are paper and come with a lot but hey are cute and my kids who are 6 & 8 love them.

  4. I made one on the computer using Microsoft office Excel. I can email it to you if you like so you can erase what I have and add your own.

let's see if this works, I saved it as a web page...copy and paste in a new window to view it (you may get a message saying it will open in a new window...just click "ok").

In case you have trouble figuring it out...4 kids, each kid has two chores each day that's why I left two lines for each kid.

  5. I got a dry erase board from walmart.  They have a divided one with dry erase and cork board.  I think that there might have been one with divisions on it.  We right rules on the board and they can add them too.  You can print out chore charts on Word and tack them on the cork board.

    Good Luck

(my boys are 8 & 5 and it does help to have a little structure)
