  1. I am 12 almost 13

laundry i wash, dry, and fold every day

pet care i have 5 acres at my house so i play with the dog for an hour and i feed/water, bathe, and brush my dog and i feed my cats i also clean the cat box

dishes i wash ALL of the dishes every other day

house cleaning  i pick  up the living room every morning and i vacuum

room keeping i have to keep my room clean or i get grounded

cooking i make lunch everyday and dinner once in a while

i don't have any younger siblings if i did i would babysit them gladly

other in the winter i haul firewood to the porch i also weedwack and wash the car i dust and i take the garbage out

i don't get paid an allowance i get a roof over my head and 3 meals a day. my parents also get me some of the stuff that i want but not all all of it. the money i have is well earned and kids these days need to learn about the value of the dollar because someday they'll be on they're own and they'll have to earn all their money. my parents my be strict but they are preparing me for real life

  2. Laundry

  3. My kids just turned 14 this year this is there chores list.

Laundry: wash and fold every day.

Dishes: Do your own every day.

Room has to be clean before doing anything on the weekend.

My older daughter watches her sisters for about an hour after school everyday... durring the week.

I give my kids 2 dollars each day if they complete there chores. it may not sound like a lot but that is $730 a year!

I have also found out that if you give your child an amount of money he or she has on school supplies and clothes they take care of things a lot better.

Example: I gave my kids $200 dollars each for school things and they spent wisely and relized that its not cheep!

    Hope I Helped, Good Luck!

  4. I usually give a $6 monthly allowance to my 12-year old daughter...(half her age) so maybe for you, $6.50?

A 13-year old, in my opinion, doesn't need any more than that...

  5. Good allowance is maybe $20 a week.

  6. Laundry - no.  You'll get into that in a couple of years.  Just get together your stuff for washing, and if your mom or dad needs help carrying stuff, you do that too.

Pet Care - feed the cat or dog.  If it's your dog, then you also have to walk him and groom him (and yes, pick up after him, ew).  Similarly, if it's your cat, then you have to change the litterbox and clean up after the occasional mistake.

Dishes - yep.  Three times a week, that's yours.  You also have to dry them.

House Cleaning - you clean your own room.  You also have to sweep or vacuum the living room and hallways when they need it, or every two weeks.

Room Keeping - yep, all yours.

Cooking - nope.  You have a duty to learn how, but no responsibility for doing it all by yourself.

Younger Siblings - nope.  Next year you do some babysitting.  This year, you're still a kid yourself.

Basically, at this stage in life, you help the adults do things.  You're not totally responsible for stuff yourself.

You get $6/week for this, and your parents get to audit how you spend it (no Heelys or cigarettes!).

  7. im 14 and i do my own laundry, i have my own dog and i love it! [walk him, feed him, etc.] i load the dishes almost everyday, i keep my room clean and clean the bathroom [by choice i like doing that] sometimes i cook dinner [for fun] and i just help with everyday cleaning and i help with my younger sisters [they dont require much though] and i dont get any allowance. i dont really mind doing all of this stuff i just wish my mom was more appreciative, thats all i really want from her. if i clean the whole house when she gets home instead of just saying thanks shell point out all of the stuff i missed.

  8. im 14 and i hardly do any of these but i know i should.

id say keep her room tidy and soom laundry, definatly not all the cooking!

as for the allowance id say around £10 kinda like pocket money

  9. just let them do their laundry

their dishes and clean their rooms

i dont get paid for chores

but im guess like 10-15 bucks sounds reasonable?

  10. I think $5 at the end of the week or fortnight if their room is kept clean, then set an amount for each additional chore they do, like if they vacuum twice during the week they get an extra how ever much, and if they do the dishes the get extra as well. But they have to do a minimum of X amount of work.

That way, its more like a choice than an order and they can have the potential to earn extra money if they want.
