Hi,

I've always wanted to start my own business, but I always get stumped when it comes to thinking up ideas to get started with.

Does anyone have any advice on how to come up with business ideas?

  1. Hi! Having your own on-line store/Internet business is a good way for beginners or anyone who wants to work from home!

There are programs for example ProfitMart that makes it really easy to set up your own web site and start promoting different kind of products.

With ProfitMart you don't have to pay hosting fees only small membership fee and you get training and support.

So it's risk free since you don't have to invest money.

  2. Most people divide there time into work and play.  If you are wanting to decide what business to start then you have to ask yourself what is it that you enjoy doing?

This is important for a lot of reasons, obviously you will have more enthusiasm if your work relates to your interest or passions.  Secondly it is also important because most businesses become more successful when the line between work and play becomes blurred, as you will enjoy your business and get pleasure out of completing any deals you may do etc.

    Ask your self:

    What are your passions?

    What are you good at?

Is there anyone offering 'such and such' a service?

Is there a demand for a service or product?

Is someone else doing something you know you could do better or more efficiently?

Is there anything that you believe is missing from your local community?

Is there anything in the local community you believe you could market to the world?

It is always a big step when starting a business for your self, try out any ideas on people relevant to your chosen field.

If you plan a budget, add 50% to it.

If you plan a time line, allow for possible set backs.

When the time is right do not be afraid of taking on staff or managers.

  3. visit huungama.com. It claims to provide you opportunities to work from home.

  4. Start with something that you like to do and you know there is demand for it.  You do not have to have some new idea or product. That is one major problem people have  when starting a business, they feel they have to have some new awesome product or idea.  Start small, low budget (this depends on how much money you have).  Sure way: Look in the yellow pages under headings that interest you, find out what has demand.  Collect together 10 businesses of interest to you.  Look on the internet under these same headings.  Whatever business topic has least exposure on the internet will probably be the best business for you to start.  The internet could start your business with sales tomorrow.  There are many free listings as well as paid advertising that could get you profiting immediately.  You must do your homework on this. It will take many hours to make sure you have covered all avenues of free advertising you can do on the internet.  There are many proven businesses that are already established with long term customers.  These businesses are not taking advantage of the internet.  They are depending on repeat business and their business name they have established in their area and are not sold on the power of the internet.  It is your job to find these lacking areas of exposure on the web in your area under topics that interest you.
