Chris Bosh backs Miami Heat teammate LeBron James; says team in it together – NBA Playoffs Update
Miami Heat star Chris Bosh has given his backing to under fire teammate LeBron James. The Miami Heat lost game-5 of their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Boston Celtics and James was again singled out for criticism.
Bosh though has spoken out against the treatment meted out to LeBron, saying that the Miami super star is doing a good job and if any criticism was to be made it should be of the team rather than the player.
Bosh also said that it was a team game and the whole Miami Heat roster was responsible for the hole they were in right now. The Heat are one loss away from elimination as the loss at the American Airlines Arena put them down 3 – 2 in the series.
With the next game in Boston, Chris stressed how it was important for everyone to step up, not just LeBron James.
"We have to do this together," Heat forward Chris Bosh said. "He's going to do what he's supposed to do, and we're going to do what we're supposed to do. We're going to do it together. We live and die together. You can't just single him out. People have
to stop doing that. It's a team sport. If he performs, he's going to perform, and he's going to do his job."
James has been phenomenal in the playoffs as he was all season long, for which he won the NBA’s Most Valuable Player Award. The “Chosen One” has carried even more responsibility in the playoffs especially since Bosh was injured in the previous round against
the Indiana Pacers.
Chris only made his return in the last game, playing some minutes off the bench. Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra meanwhile issued a rallying call to his team ahead of the crunch game in Boston. Spoelstra said the Heat want to be NBA World Champions and for
that they would have to face up all the challenges before them.
"It never is easy on your journey to try to be an NBA champion. You'll always have these tough moments where you have to come together and go through that moment together. You can't skip it. There isn't an easy way."
