Chris Bosh leads Miami Heat to a 96-85 victory over the Chicago Bulls
Forward Chris Bosh scored a game-high 34 points as the Miami Heat knocked down the Chicago bulls 96-85 in the game-3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. With this victory, Miami leads the best-of-seven series 2-1.
Bosh was the hero on the night and with good reason too. With James and Wade hounded by the stout Bulls defence, Bosh was the one who carried the offensive for the Heat and finished with an impressive 13-for-18 from the field.
The 27-year-old power forward said after the game, "I just wanted to be aggressive and just have some kind of imprint on this series." "I had an aggressive Game 1, Game 2 was so-so, but we still won. But out here on the home floor
I just wanted to be aggressive and it turned out to be a good game."
LeBron James once again lived up to his growing clutch time reputation and erupted with 10 points in the last quarter. On the night, he chipped in with 22 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds for the Heat, who are now 7-0 at home
during the playoffs. Dwyane Wade also added 17 points and nine rebounds for Miami. His was not in his sharp-shooting mould though as he managed only 6-for 17 from the field.
Carlos Boozer led the Bulls with 26 points and a team-high 17 rebounds in the defeat. Derrick Rose had 20 points, five assists, and five rebounds for Chicago. However, the Bulls’ guard struggled from the field once again, making
just 8-of-19 shots. Luol Deng added 14 points and eight rebounds while Taj Gibson came off the bench with 11 points.
Both teams played the first quarter with same intensity but the Heat found their way to carry a three-point lead, 18-15, into the second. Miami started with a 5-2 run in the second quarter to take a 23-17 advantage. The Bulls however
always stayed within a striking range as the teams went into the break with a 43-40 score, advantage Heat. James scored 10 of his points in the first half.
Both teams scored 25 possessions apiece in the third quarter as Miami maintained a three-point lead, going into the fourth. James score only two points in third, but he started the fourth with a jumper to set the tone. In the next
two minutes, Chris Bosh followed with three more jumpers and then a thunderous dunk, capped by his signature roar. He did just enough for James to finish the game off. James did not disappoint as he took over to secure the home win.
