Chris Bosh leads the Miami Heat to 110-80 win over San Antonio Spurs
The Miami Heat hosted the sizzling San Antonio Spurs looking to avenge their worst defeat (125-95) of the 2010-11 season. However, it was sweet revenge for Lebron James and the Heat, as they completely dismantled the Spurs for a 110–80 win at the American
Airlines Arena on Sunday night.
The result snapped San Antonio’s three-game winning streak. It was also Miami’s third consecutive win after going through a five-game losing streak.
The 26-year-old forward Chris Bosh scored a game-high 30 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in the victory. It was the 26th time during his NBA career that Bosh ended with a minimum of 30 points and just the second time during this season.
At the end of the game, Bosh said that the win was a huge result for Miami. He said, "It is huge for us, really, just getting even with this team. They beat us pretty good and I am happy that we were able to respond by playing a complete game tonight. But
at the same time, it is just one game."
Miami guard Dwyane Wade was also fantastic as he contributed 28 points, four assists, nine rebounds and a team-high two blocks. LeBron James finished with 21 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Heat, who now have a 25-9 home record.
The 38-year-old San Antonio guard Tony Parker, who was recently crowned as the Western Conference Player of the Week, tried his best to keep his side in the game. He added a team-high 18 points and grabbed five assists and two steals.
Spurs forward Tim Duncan ended with 14 points and six rebounds for the Spurs, who have lost three of their last 10 games. Manu Ginobili had 12 points while Antonio McDyess chipped in with 10 points in the losing efforts.
