Chris Bosh looking forward to training with Miami Heat teammates – NBA Update
Miami Heat star Chris Bosh revealed in an interview that he is planning to get hold of his teammates and start preparing for the next NBA season very soon. Bosh indicated that even though the workouts would not be official Heat
sessions because of the lockout, he was still looking forward to the experience.
This time of the year, most players start taking their training up a notch in anticipation of the practice camps. However because of the NBA lockout, the practice camps are likely to be cancelled. Many NBA players have expressed
a desire to get together with their respective teammates and train for the season anyway, and Bosh is no different.
The player has had an eventful off-season and says he is now ready to get back to some serious work. He revealed that his view point was shared by his teammates and the players would be getting together sooner rather than later,
"We're going to make some plans. We're going to plan to do something,"
Training with each other is particularly important for the Miami Heat. The Heat have a team built around the Big Three of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. James and Bosh came over to South Beach just last year while there
are also a number of other new faces.
Therefore the more time the players spend together the better it would be for Miami in the long run. Chris was mindful of the fact and realized the importance of building teamwork ahead of the NBA season, whenever it may take place.
"I think just getting around each other, I think it's important as far as team-building is concerned and just getting something going. We're pretty much still in the process of doing that."
The player spoke on Saturday via phone from Los Angeles, where he is promoting a video game. Boston Celtics super star Kevin Garnett and Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves were also present at the event.
Many NBA players have been involved in such activities during the off-season but are now heading to the gym to get in shape in time for the start of the season. It might seem as a futile exercise to some, given the fact that the
NBA lockout is now in its third month and there are not many encouraging signs for a resolution to the CBA dispute.
However NBA players are still clinging on to hope and as professionals doing their best to get in shape and be ready for whenever the lockout ends and their names are called.
