Chris Byrd terms Wladimir Klitschko’s chin as his weakness – Boxing news
Former WBO and IBF world heavyweight champion Chris Byrd has said that the IBF, WBO and IBO world heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko’s weakness is his chin.
“Oh yeah, definitely! Weaknesses with Wladimir, everybody says his chin,” said Byrd.
He added in a heavyweight division once you get hit in your chin you can easily be knocked out especially when you are fighting against world class pugilists who know how to punch hard.
The Rapid Fire, Byrd, also believes once Wladimir goes out of his comfort zone he losses, as he thinks Dr. Steelhammer lacks stamina.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “If you get hit in the chin, you’ll go, especially with two strong guys and especially when you’re fighting somebody that can punch. With Wladimir, his weakness I still think he can’t fight going backwards. If you
could push him and make him constantly fight you tire him out.”
In the end, the 40-year-old American Byrd commented on Haye. He remarked Haye has the speed and power along with the skills as well and he can upset the 6 ft 6.5” Ukrainian giant Klitschko.
Byrd reckons the 30-year-old brash Londoner, Haye, who will take on Wladimir Klitschko in a highly anticipated unification fight for the heavyweight titles Saturday at Hamburg’s Imtech Arena in Germany, should give Klitschko no time to think.
“I just think in my opinion, skill-wise David Haye has a lot of skills and he can punch, but I think he has to take chances and with Wladimir, push him. Try and make him fight going backwards and make him think at all times before he throws,” said Byrd.
This Haye-Wladimir mega heavyweight showdown, which will be held in front of an anticipated crowd of over 60,000 people is being considered as one of the biggest in the British history. However let’s see if Haye is able to win this bout, as it is also going
to have an impact on the British boxing.
