  1. Chris Byrd. He has more power.

Joe Calzaghe is like super middle weight, He's a lighter weight than Chris.

  2. Joe stopped Chris in the amateurs, and Chris is likely to be weakened by his recent weight loss.

Joe would take a decision win

  3. A lot of Byrd's power will be gone in the lighter weights, so it would be very interesting. I have a feeling that he probably took one too many beatings at heavyweight, and he probably does not have much left.

Having said that I am really looking forward to see him fight for the first time in a long time! I don't think he would be able to beat Calzaghe though.

  4. I might say byrd because he has more power and a lot more pop on his jabs. JC has speed but he also a smaller fighter and I don't see him as technical as byrd is.

  5. Those are 2 totally opposite boxers: Byrd is a Heavyweight and Calzaghe is a Super Middleweight (event though he's fought at Light Heavyweight against B-Hop). Normally Byrd would knock Calzaghe out (he doesn't have a particularly great chin...) but would he be able to even touch him? Also, Calzaghe wouldn't be able to hurt Byrd with his lack of power. So I'd say Byrd wouldn't fear Calzaghe's punches and would let him come in and hit him hard, knocking him out in about7 or 8 rounds...

  6. Joe Calzaghe will win an unanimous decision because Chris Byrd will be weak from the weight loss. Chris was fighting at about 210lbs as a heavyweight. Even if Joe agree to move up to the light heavyweight division, Chris still has to lose 35lbs and Joe only has to gain 7 lbs to make light heavyweight. Most people will agree that it is alot easier to gain weight than to lose weight especially at their age.

  7. Joe calzaghe

    KO!!!!!

  8. Size matters, and Byrd is the bigger man.  I say Byrd takes Calzaghe.

  9. Ask this Q again in 6 days.

  10. Calzaghe would outwork him to a super boring unanimous decision.  5 years ago, it would be the other way around.

  11. Im gonna go with Joe C

  12. Chris Byrd was a shell of him former self at Heavyweight. I like his style but after the beating in his last fight he has decided to come to Lt. Heavy where he might have a chance, because the division is not the best right now. I see this fight being competitive but I will see Byrd being close on the cards but still losing a close decision due Calzaghe being a multiple punch combination puncher which Bryd is not.
