Chris Eagles confirms interest in joining Everton
Burnley winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Eagles has confirmed his interest in joining Premier League side Everton, putting the ball in Burnley’s court to allow him a move.
It has been long speculated that Everton were eyeing a 4 million pound move for the English International. Eagles recently managed to score an impressive brace in the FA Cup match against Burton Albion, admitting that he fancied playing for the Merseyside
club.
Everton Manager David Moyes had expressed his desire to bring in the 25-year-old player to Goodison Park, labelling him to be the perfect replacement for the now departed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Pienaar-c34208. However, Moyes has termed the move highly unlikely in this transfer
window, which is due to end today. When the player himself got to know about the interest from Everton, he was absolutely delighted and claimed he would want nothing more but to play in the Premier League again.
"You miss playing with the best players in the world. Getting back into the Premier League is one of my aims and that is what I'd love to do. I don't know the full depth of Everton's interest, but I know that they want me and it is between the clubs really,”
stated the former Man United winger.
However, Eagles gave the entire control of the situation to his current club and refused to become a part of the transfer issue. Should the club find the right offer for him, he would be ready to pack his bags and vows to keep performing on the highest level
even if the bid fails. The player stated that he just wants to concentrate on any clubs he plays for and feels pride every time he puts on a Burnley shirt.
Eagles failed to impress during his time in Manchester United, despite climbing up the ranks at the club. In his five years with the club, the player managed to make just 6 appearances, scoring once. His career with the Red Devils was filled with loan moves
to sides likes Watford, Sheffield Wednesday and N.E.C, before settling with Burnley in 2008.
